Is your vote safe?

Are you at risk of being purged from Ohio's voting rolls? Don't be a victim of Ohio's voter purge. Check your status online.

As we roll into mid-term election season, it's more important than ever that Ohio citizens make sure that that they are registered to vote and able to take part in the democratic process. Last month, we told you about the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling to uphold Ohio's voting rolls purge of inactive voters between 2011-2014. The Court ruled in favor of Ohio Sec. of State Jon Husted's process for removing ineligible voters from the rolls after not voting for six years and failing to respond to a registration "confirmation notice" sent after two years of voting.

In response to that ruling and purge, voting rights advocates have been hard at work to make sure voters know their voting registration status and whether they have been or could be victims of Ohio's voter roll purge. A new feature HERE (developed by cleveland.com) allows Ohio voters to check whether they are at risk of being removed from the rolls, including whether they have been sent confirmation notices regarding voting inactivity and termination. Ohioans should also double check their voting status, address and polling location at MyOhioVote.com.
